hhbooker2 Posted May 8, 2008 Share #1 Posted May 8, 2008 Why did the Army Quartermaster Corps have the best looking chevrons of all? Was it because they issued them? Here are two examples, one is Sergeant which has three buff colour chevrons over a full colour representation of the Quartermaster Corps specialty mark below. The other is Quartermaster Sergeant, same, but with a yellow-gold wreath below. Other departments in the Army had their own specialty marks, i.e., Caduceus for Medical Department, Lightening-bolts for Electricians, etc. Sarge Booker of Tujunga, California ([email protected]) POST SCRIPT: The most often seen M-1902 chevrons with a device below is QMC, often unissued! As a side note, these were made in pairs with the sword and key facing opposite directions!
