jmpmstr Posted December 17, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 17, 2013 A sampling of some of the rosettes I have. It's something I have just started looking at, mostly to complete some older decoration sets, and they just took hold of me. I have most IDd but am stuck on the lower left corner rosette. I thought SIlver Star but I don't think so. The others are pretty straight forward. I also have some foreign orders as well but not shown here. My question is when were these primarily used, and when did they cease to be in use (if ever), I understand they are generally made in France, but were they issues with awards regularly or private purchase...I ask because I have a few decoration sets that came to me with rosettes vice a lapel button.
