robert60446 Posted May 7, 2008 Share #1 Posted May 7, 2008 Hi guys, I’m having a hard time to assign those unmarked wings to a maker. Please note hollow points in anchor hooks on reverse (as well as hollow shield). One note, similar hardware was used by GEMCO on various badges (like for example USMC Pistol Expert). Gary Cain Posted May 7, 2008 Share #6 Posted May 7, 2008 Hi Robert, Your wing exhibits features of several wings, most notably AMCRAFT and GEMSCO. My guess is it is a foreign made wing, sometime in the late '30's or 40's, but I have no idea where. Cheers Gary
robert60446 Posted May 8, 2008 Author Share #7 Posted May 8, 2008 Hi Gary, Not an easy nut to crack. My eyes hurt from looking at different variants, but i really can't pinpoint this badge to the specific maker. Oh well, I’m just happy to have this strange fruit in my collection...
