kammo-man Posted May 20, 2008 Share #28 Posted May 20, 2008 Hi there It is indeed a a different printed batch of camouflage cloth. The pattern is the same however . This is one aspect of these vests that makes them unique to collect. I have never owned a Vietnamese uniform in either of the Beo Gams shown on these pages , but I may have had a cowboy style hat once. The quality of the material is quite low and the printing leans towards hand screened work. Is there anybody out there who has issue uniforms in these prints? I would like to see them. Thanks in advance.

kammo-man Posted May 22, 2008 Share #34 Posted May 22, 2008 Hi there The hats are very nice as is the shirt . This is a very complex pattern as I feel not to many people take it seriously . I believe there are many suttle changes in cloth ,print , cut ect. Maybee not as many as Tiger but close. I have checked out your other postings on this subject ; That is a lot of leg work to build up a collection as specific as you have managed. Have you ever had a vest in this pattern? I have also seen a flight suit in the same cut as the tiger suit . Do you know of this?? o
vintageproductions Posted June 4, 2008 Author Share #35 Posted June 4, 2008 Here is another vest we have. Looks like it was made on Okinawa but was definately made as a aviation piece. It is cut similar to a WWII AAF C-1 vest but made out of Mitchell pattern camo.

pwmiraldi67 Posted May 5, 2009 Share #38 Posted May 5, 2009 What went in each of the pocks on the vest that was for sale from Jason? Jason told me once that these were issued items for the 1-0 and came with flare, launcher, mirror, compass, 1st aid packs and such, but many chose to mix and match items in the pockets, I dont think there were ever 2 the same ever. heres a photo of Bobs older vest wish i could have bought this one!!! USMCRECON Posted May 17, 2009 Share #43 Posted May 17, 2009 SUITE In the picture in post #14, did anyone notice the bbl on the M-79 of the guy at left front? It looks like about half the bbl has been hacked off; almost a grenade pistol. That's OK if he's firing shotgun rounds I guess but it would probably reduce the velocity of an HE round to just about stall speed!
bill brewster Posted May 18, 2009 Share #44 Posted May 18, 2009 To anyone having a vest(s) with intact snaps, is there a makers stamp on the snaps. May be on the inside of the female or back of the male. Bill Brewster
nguoi tien su Posted September 2, 2009 Share #45 Posted September 2, 2009 As Jérôme suggested it, here is my contribution to this thread ! This is the same pattern and construction Owen posted before. All the zippers are working but the ties have been unfortunately cut. They look very fragile and might not have survived even after a short time. NTS

Corpsmancollector Posted September 2, 2009 Share #48 Posted September 2, 2009 Here is a "SOG 1-0 Vest" that is currently for sale by Jason Hardy at The Dog Tag (http://www.thedogtag.com) Hi all, Great thread, loving the vests! Does Jason Hardy frequently have items for sale? Some nice looking pieces! Wouldnt mind that SF beret grouping Thanks, Will
vintageproductions Posted September 2, 2009 Author Share #49 Posted September 2, 2009 Jason-Always has items for sale. Look on his website. But one thing to remember with Jason is he has a long list of hardcore collectors coming to him for documented groups. When he gets them they go for big money.
