First Pattern General Fibre Hawley liner ID'd to a WWII Seabee from NJ who served stateside. The vets son's name was scrawled in pencil on the liner post war which was actually what allowed me to ID this one. Here's the thread on this helmet/liner https://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/337759-early-wwii-named-navy-m1/

Last but certainly not least, a post WWII USMC liner. The liner, helmet, and EGA marked cover are all marked 233, likely a roster or supply number. All components of the liner are WWII era, I've added an equally salty chinstrap to the liner. Interestingly the sweatband is installed backwards on this one.IMG_20190909_190713.jpg.61fc450df3e90dfea08d6c608bea1f6c.jpgIMG_20190909_190726.jpg.0345413f6ac274ded77b5b8cf5e2fa6b.jpgIMG_20190909_190835.jpg.6e20bab8100552d65079ff880c137820.jpgIMG_20190910_094608.jpg.8e3c1cf48bdfb2ebf9b985beede8373f.jpg

One of the battalions of the Georgia 121st Infantry 48th Armored Division 1966 wears the Grey Bonnet Decal on what seems to be gloss Dark Grey Helmet Liners, of note none of these troops were Infantry Blue Distinctives, it was hit and miss in the 50s and 60s with NG Infantry units, some might of worn it, some units not

I think a good liner is the true rare bird: I can find front seam fixed bail steel pots somewhat frequently at swap meets, estate and garage sales, but a period liner shows up about once every year or two and I have only ever found one or two that had the GI's initial and last four of serial number as marked in WWII and those did not have chin straps. i have found some post war liners with bits and pieces of markings/paint/decals on them. I've always wondered what was missing from this one, although it does display okay from the one side :) (anyone know what the blue stripe might be - I've thought it might be for some sort of training NCO)

Have a helmet at the house that has two full names in it. One has been crossed out and the other is on the inside of shell also. Where would I start to find out information on the soldiers.

Late 50s mid 60s 318th Regiment 80th Training Division, note the 318th Regt decal has been applied over a partially scrapped off and repainted decal of another unit within the division.

An interesting one for the 2nd Missile Command, sold aways back, item description gives it as "Vietnam 2nd Airborne Rangers" LOL. 2nd Missile Command was at Hood then Carson before it was inactivated forever in what was it, 1961? Haven't ascertained what the 57 stands for (Tredhed Coordinate).

A 60s Air Force one, snazzy, Cap Device, Lighting etc. but not getting any hits for a 328th Air Division, this 328th Air Division clearly has pre and early WWII Philippine linage right, as it has the patches for the Philippine Department and the Philippine Division.

This liner may be a dud, a made up one. shopped that 328th Air Division patch over on USAF Patches sub forum, the Air Force guys there state unequivocally that no 328th Air Division ever existed in the PI or anywhere else, that the patch is for the  6200th Air Base Wing.

A real one, an original one from the 50s posted by member Randy in his reply (This patch is heavily Reproed he stated)

A Somewhat worse for wear liner of the 101st Training Division 42nd Tank Battalion, at this time the 42nd Tank Battalion is a Tank unit in name only, here it is a Cadre strength training unit with no tanks or combat mission,

Painted Air Defense.  I believe this is late 40s.  In early 50s it was redesignated as Aero Defense.
