dustin Posted November 30, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 30, 2013 Since we have a good UK member base I was hoping one of you might be able to shed more light on this ration pack. I acquired two of these, one was destroyed but salvaged the component check off sheet which was intended to be removed and replaced. It's a well known fact the USAAF utilized British/RAF equipment across the board. Units arriving in England especially aboard bombardment aircraft were lacking in effective emergency equipment which prompted the 8th AF Service Command to acquire RAF equipment to supply US aircraft. Attached is a picture of the RAF Emergency Pack Type 4 with two WWII British water cans that were commonly supplied to bombardment aircraft. The list calls for a basic compliment of components. Anyone that has more information it would be greatly appreciated. the list includes: Weather Cover.....what is that? Sponge Very Cartridges qty. 8 Yellow Skull Caps Emergency Flying Ration MKII Emergency Liquid Drinking Cup......what is that?
