dskjl Posted November 30, 2013 Share #3 Posted November 30, 2013 A great man and veteran, he was very kind to my son and I and was a wonderful story teller. His tails of his time spent in WWII jumping into Normandy, Market Garden etc... were simply amazing. My son once asked him what it was like on his first combat jump? He said "it looked like it was raining watermelons because so many boys forgot to tighten their chin straps".
