Shelter Half

I recently purchased two shelter halves, the single flap type, they are well mark and dated 1942.

 

A couple of issues though, a ripped button hole, a button about to fall off and a small rip.

 

I am in need of a Certified WWI / WWII Tent Technician, anyone have Omar the tent makers e-mail address.

 

I am not sure if the buttons can be taken apart and reinstalled or not.

 

I have a feeling a lot of these pup tents could use an ordnance quality freshen-up. The Boy Scout were really rough on these things.

 

Not to mention they went through a world war, I feel the need to fix the one I have, or is it time for them to fade off into the sunset?
