CorsairAce Posted November 23, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 23, 2013 Picked up the Purple Heart last weekend and was surprised when I started to do a little research on him to find out he was a POW. Is there any resources online to find out more about him? I haven't been able to find much about him besides: Pvt. Robersabel Posted November 24, 2013 Share #2 Posted November 24, 2013 The name is Beddoes. http://aad.archives.gov/aad/record-detail.jsp?dt=466&mtch=1&cat=TS14&tf=F&sc=11675,11660,11679,11667,11669,11676,11672,11673&bc=,sl,fd&txt_11675=36980055+&op_11675=0&nfo_11675=V,8,1900&rpp=10&pg=1&rid=43549 Strange there is no camp identified. KASTAUFFER Posted November 24, 2013 Share #4 Posted November 24, 2013 I have seen engraving like this before. I owned one just like it that had been awarded in a hospital stateside. It wouldn't surprise me if this was awarded in the same US Army hospital. Kurt
