A pretty good day out...

Recommended Posts

Haven't had a day out cruising flea markets and antique malls this good in a while. Named 8th Air Force crew cheif grouping, already found online he had a BSM. Assorted ribbons and screw back US's...the unofficial "Allied Service" ribbon. 2 early pattern bakelite canteen caps.

AND FINALLY the illusive M1967 butt pack. The butt pack was that much more special because it came from a surplus vendor who is just about the most cranky SOB known to man. Despite it being priced as surplus and well below it's collector value, I must admit I still haggled if for nothing else to make his day that much brighter...har har.

Afghanistan Vet OEF 10-11 - Engineer Corps US Army.

Getting a medal means two things:

1. Someone saw you do it.

2. You didn't tick off the approval chain.
Seeking 984th Engineer Co (Land Clearance), 36th Engineer Regt/Bde, and Sanitary Corps items from all eras.

Those kinds of finds are the best ones!

Looking for older Virginia Military Institute items: insignia, uniforms, cadet sabers, documents, and groupings belonging to VMI alumni.

Also interested in Virginia Reserve Militia (VRM) uniforms and insignia, or other items of general Virginia interest.
