B229 Posted November 15, 2013 Share #4 Posted November 15, 2013 Yes, it's legit WWII production. W. L. Dumas was a textile manufacturer in Miami, OK.
ThompsonSavage Posted November 15, 2013 Share #5 Posted November 15, 2013 It is good. You can find it in the topic on Thompson canvas items on machinegunboards.com by our member dalbert.
Sabrejet Posted November 15, 2013 Share #6 Posted November 15, 2013 Costa, these Tommy Gun mag bags aren't that easy to come by these days. I've got a minty one myself by another maker which I posted on the forum some time ago. It was very well received by the gun guys who valued it quite highly (for a piece of web gear!) If you have the chance to buy this for what you consider to be a reasonable amount, grab it!
Costa Posted November 15, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted November 15, 2013 I DID GRAB IT FOR 134.00. IT WAS THE OVER ALL CONDITION OF BEING MINT. THANKS FOR THE INFO GUYS
Sabrejet Posted November 15, 2013 Share #8 Posted November 15, 2013 When I was last in Normandy, I found a well-used one in a militaria store in St Marie Du Mont priced at €175...$235!!
craig_pickrall Posted November 15, 2013 Share #9 Posted November 15, 2013 You guys just made my day with the prices quoted. I have 20 or 30 of them and didn't pay more than $5.00 for any of them. Most are in new condition too.
LtRGFRANK Posted November 16, 2013 Share #10 Posted November 16, 2013 me too. I have several. At those prices I might think of parting with a few. Then maybe not

craig_pickrall Posted November 17, 2013 Share #12 Posted November 17, 2013 I bought most of mine in the 70's and 80's. You could find them new for a couple of bucks if you really looked close at shows. I think I paid $10 for my UK made in new condition.
'Flage Guy Posted November 17, 2013 Share #13 Posted November 17, 2013 WOW- what a beauty!! Dated '43, OD #7 and mint condition I know the maker has been clarified already, but I'll second it in saying that I have a few "Dumas" pieces...mostly T-Handle Shovel Covers. ThompsonSavage Posted November 17, 2013 Share #14 Posted November 17, 2013 Pretty sure all these bags were made in OD3...
glenm Posted November 17, 2013 Share #15 Posted November 17, 2013 Looks like OD3 to me, not OD7...
