Capt.Confederacy Posted November 8, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 8, 2013 I picked up a few newspapers recently from around the War of 1812 and found this naval action snippet on one dated 1815. This is particularly interesting because the fight actually took place months after peace was declared, but, because of slow communications, neither ship knew it. First the front page of the paper.
