TLHorstead Posted November 6, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2013 49th COMMUNICATIONS SQUADRON, DIVISION 49th COMMUNICATIONS SQUADRON, AIR FORCE This is the insignia for the squadron / group supporting HQ, 5th Air Division (and Later:) Sixteenth Air Force assigned to Offutt AFB 07 Feb 1951 - 17 Jul 1951 for Organization & Training; Transferring to 5th AD at Rabat-Sale AP, French Morocco and later relocated to Sidi Slimane AB, French Morocco (Later:) Morocco, and Later; Redesignated as the 49th COMMUNICATIONS SQUADRON, AIR FORCE and relocated to Torrejon AB, Spain 01 Jul 1957-15 Apr 1966.
