Some years ago I had obtained this souvenir hat made for sale to a U.S. serviceman it appears. The soldier appears to have been with the 5th Army. I had to take many pictures as there is so many insignia on the hat. There are some German ribbons on it but mostly Italian insignia. When someone comes to my residence to see my military collection, they have to check out this hat. It is possible that one insignia may have been worn on the sleeve denoting the rank of Marshal of the Empire. Anyway, check it out, Curley of the Three Stooges would have loved it.

That is a very unique piece. There are lots of great insigina on that hat. Did the Italian civilians make these up as souvenir pieces to sell to the GIs or is this a one of a kind piece. Yeah Curly would look perfect in that hat. Thanks for posting it.
