Templetone Model BP2-A5 "Morale Radio"

I stumbled across this little radio on Craigslist yesterday. It was made by the Templetone company in CT...from what I've seen on that interwebs thing, they were made in 1944 and 1945 as morale radios, or for use in dayrooms....I think the small orange stamp is a Signal Corps acceptance stamp (?). It's 11 inches wide, 13 inches tall and about 5 inches deep. Other than finding the one knob missing I don't think I'll try to restore it...never was a big fan of AM radio anyway!

..closer view of the dial and tuner...one knob is missing but the markings are all in great shape....not sure how many they made, but this one is #237.

...and the "guts"...the backpiece is missing...she thinks she might have that somewhere, but since this will be on a shelf, I'm not too worried about it...note the fungicidal varnish warning....
