Sabrejet Posted October 24, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 24, 2013 So what's with the old-style AAF "meatball" insignia on this Apache? Is it just an individual crew embellishment...or what?
Waltz41 Posted October 24, 2013 Share #2 Posted October 24, 2013 I would imagine so....probably some sort of heritage type marking.......whatever the reason, I think it's pretty cool!

gwb123 Posted October 26, 2013 Share #4 Posted October 26, 2013 When the unit requisitioned a replacement rocket pod, all that was available in the supply system was the M-1943 model. It was classified as an "acceptable substitute". (That joke is funny if you ever worked the US Military logistics system... order one thing, get another!)
