TRR Posted November 3, 2013 #5 Posted November 3, 2013 I would be surprised if that was any sort of military issued item. The box would have had a lot number or some other military markings. Most likely just a novelty desk set for a sailor. Neat item, I wonder if one for each branch exist?
firefighter Posted November 16, 2013 #6 Posted November 16, 2013 I would have to agree civilian but made for sailors to buy.I bet if you look at some old 'Your Navy' or 'All Hands' there's probably an advertisement for these.Very cool to find complete in box with the pen set.Looks 1950's era to me.
