338thRCT Posted December 1, 2013 Share #117 Posted December 1, 2013 This letterhead section is from a letter written while the 85th Inf Div. was in training for desert warfare in California. I four page letter that is highly critical of the upper echelon officers in Regimental and Battalion levels of command. He also talks of low morale within the unit and how the division is good "only on paper". Written by an officer who is identified only as Jimmy, he refers to M Company, but I am not sure of which regiment he came from. A couple more for your interest. Another variation of the Desert Training Center letterhead.
