WWII lighter made in Paris 1945 . . . . . .

a nice silver plate cigarette lighter made by Drago in Paris 1945, this 82nd PIR one is the only one I have seen, I am not certain if it was a commissioned piece by an 82nd serviceman or if more and other units were made.

That’s a beauty! Here’s a more modern one, made in a ville in Vietnam in 1968:

The cigar cutter is covering the owner’s SSN.

Here is a lighter I posted in Newest Acquisitions.

Military Sea Transportation Service lighters are somewhat rare:

I only have 2 military lighters... A Zippo and a Storm King.

The Zippo was gifted to my regiment (The Queen's Royal Irish Hussars) back in 1991.

The USMC Storm King lighter I purchased from the US a few months ago, to go with my growing Vietnam collection.

Thanks, Coldfusion, for posting those. When you mentioned that your unit was gifted that Zippo it reminded me that I had a lighter that was gifted to St. Louis, Missouri, troops after World War I:

Nothing special here but a nice solid 1967 Zippo.

Amazing lighter Ken!!

Nothing wrong with a “plain Jane” Zippo, Boy Howdy … it still did everything the engraved lighters did. And, that’s a great collection, USARV72! Manayunkman, your comment to General Apathy reminded me that I have Drago lighter, too. This was a collaboration between Drago and Dupont:
