Cobra 6 Actual Posted July 17, 2021 Share #29 Posted July 17, 2021 Hi jmd62. That’s a 2006 Zippo. These still turn up occasionally on eBay. There’s a blue camo one on eBay right now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/ZIPPO-NEW-WINDY-CAMOUFLAGE-ANTIQUE-FINISH-SUPER-COOL-02085-/183800700928 Frankly, I prefer the green camo version. Coldfusion Posted August 15, 2021 Share #40 Posted August 15, 2021 I only have 2 military lighters... A Zippo and a Storm King. The Zippo was gifted to my regiment (The Queen's Royal Irish Hussars) back in 1991. The USMC Storm King lighter I purchased from the US a few months ago, to go with my growing Vietnam collection. Cobra 6 Actual Posted August 15, 2021 Share #41 Posted August 15, 2021 Thanks, Coldfusion, for posting those. When you mentioned that your unit was gifted that Zippo it reminded me that I had a lighter that was gifted to St. Louis, Missouri, troops after World War I:

Cobra 6 Actual Posted August 15, 2021 Share #46 Posted August 15, 2021 Nothing wrong with a “plain Jane” Zippo, Boy Howdy … it still did everything the engraved lighters did. And, that’s a great collection, USARV72! Manayunkman, your comment to General Apathy reminded me that I have Drago lighter, too. This was a collaboration between Drago and Dupont: The dragon is intertwined around the map of Vietnam.
