ap108regt Posted October 7, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2013 With lots of help I think we have identified some of the planes that Lt.Gregory Mally flew in as the B/N while with the 390th in 1944: "NOLA" no # "MARGO" 433406 ""BUNNY NOSE" 433297 "OKLAHOMA KID" 433298 Anyone have any picctures or crew information? Thank you-Antoine Ponsot
Johnny Signor Posted October 7, 2013 Share #2 Posted October 7, 2013 If you haven't already tried the " 42nd Bomb Group" online site, they should be your best bet for info ...................................................
ap108regt Posted October 8, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted October 8, 2013 Thanks Mr. Signor-I have the AFHRA records for the 42nd and the 390th- problem is "nicknames" are rarely linked with #'s-especially the 13th AF---5th and 8th seem to have been much more "researched"- I did find a picture of the NOLA with Lt.Mally in the History of the Crusaders ( p.51)
Johnny Signor Posted October 8, 2013 Share #4 Posted October 8, 2013 What I meant was to go to the online site for the "Reunion" people for the 42nd BG , they usually have a historian that keeps their records and he may have better more indepth info on their members, knicknames etc .............................. KySoldier Posted October 10, 2013 Share #5 Posted October 10, 2013 I thought the 390th flew only B-17's.
JDK Posted October 11, 2013 Share #6 Posted October 11, 2013 The 390th Bomb Group flew B-17's, the 390th Bomb Squadron however did fly B-25's. JD
