checkit Posted October 2, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 2, 2013 This is from the estate of a combat medic who served in the ETO. It's a white armband with Tech 4 Rank applied in medical branch color maroon wool. He had regular Bevo sleeve insignia of the same rank, so I am not sure it is an "of the Day" type of temporary rank. Maybe just worn on outer clothing in places where everyone there was in the medical corps, so a Geneva Cross armband was moot, but picking out a head orderly or squad leader was important? Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can provide.

patches Posted October 2, 2013 Share #3 Posted October 2, 2013 Perhaps? it was worn as a armband when he might of been assigned as a medical orderly at a large hospital, when wearing a white smock, you know to show rank, as the wear of regular standard EM rank chevrons were prohibited on the White smock

It is a cool piece! Justin B.
