PAL Posted September 30, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 30, 2013 This is the first in a series of interviews/articles I have done with a Vet called Sergeant Arnold Krause, who fought in the Iron Triangle area of Vietnam, between the Cambodian border and Saigon in 1968-1969. http://peteralanlloyd.com/the-vietnam-war/a-firefight-with-the-viet-cong/ Best wishes, Peter
hueytaxi Posted October 11, 2013 Share #2 Posted October 11, 2013 Well familiar with the area though I flew there in 1970. Much of the jungle had been at the wrong end of Agent Orange and the Rome Plows. We actually had a small two place helicopter go down there one night in a heavy thunderrstorm. Somehow they landed in a small road and spent the night. They mentined seeing a convoy go by a few hundred yards North of them during the night and checking with local units, we had no US or ARVN night movement. Lucky men.
