Germanymp Posted April 22, 2008 Share #10 Posted April 22, 2008 Hi nice Blackhawk pictures, here's one of me infront of one that had just taken a shower/bath lol Taken March 2006, Fliegerhorst Kaserne, Hanau - Germany. The helicopter belonged to 2-501st Avn Regt, D "Dragonslayers" Co. Another fun topic/headline for this picture would be "I've taken ALL the parts" lol best Phil
Jim Baker Posted April 22, 2008 Share #11 Posted April 22, 2008 Swag, Are you an aviator? Here's one somewhere in Colorado in '04.
swag Posted April 22, 2008 Author Share #12 Posted April 22, 2008 Andrew - Nope, I'm up at COB Speicher, Tikrit. Been to Baghdad quite a few times though on this tour, back in OIF 1 it was an everday flight for us when I was at Balad (LSA Anaconda). Germany - 2/501 reflagged to 3/1 before moving to Ft. Riley, KS. They're my sister battalion, I'm in 2/1, and I knew a few of those guys from back in Germany. Flew into Hanau a few times as well but not enough to be so familiar with their airspace and VFR reporting points that I didn't need a chart or VFR approach procedures. Jim - Yup, army aviator flying the Hawks. Is that a 160th SOAR bird or an Air Force hawk you found in CO? The refueling probe gives it away to being one of those organizations.
