patches Posted September 27, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 27, 2013 Got a pair of Sateen Fatique Pants, 1960 dated, excellent Large condidtion, except for one thing, someone ironed on Red cordoroy Iron On Repair patches way back when, probably a halloween gig. I was able to remove some of it, but significant areas have glue residue stuck to the fabric. Anyone know how to remove this stuff? Thank's in advance. Singlebill Posted October 24, 2013 Share #2 Posted October 24, 2013 We use a product called Goof Off to remove glue on patches from Boy Scout uniforms. It is usually found at Lowes or Home Depot.m The only caveat is that if the glue has penetrated into the weave of the fabric, it will leave a shadow. To late I threw them out, too bad, they were a freeby, and except for the patches they were mint. However in all honesty I don't think these large Red corduroy iron on patches would ever have been removed to my satisfaction, I tried doing stuff I found online, nothing really, some of it removed by me intially by pulling off, there was no residue, but most area a thick hard glue remained, and the methods I tried came to nothing. Ah well. But thank's Bill for looking in and trying to be of help.
