Timberwolf Posted September 24, 2013 #1 Posted September 24, 2013 Hi all, I had actually posted this a long time ago on the forum but figured I wanted to rephotograph it and add it to the spoils section. This was a grouping I picked up from a customer at my old job. He lived on the same block as the hardware store I worked at. I got to talking with him and asked if his dad was in the service and brought anything back. He said he had some stuff and a medal I would like. So a few days later he showed up with a box of stuff to show me. I took a look and a few days later purchased it. There was a Nazi flag but kept that, either way I still did very well. Box full of goodies His ribbon bars patches and DUI for the 333rd Engineer Regiment US patches he collected Finally his bringbacks. He was right I did like the Luftwaffe Flak Badge! And of course I was more than pleased to get the hunting association patch. Too bad the moths got to it! His dad is top row third from the left. Hope you all enjoy!
manayunkman Posted September 24, 2013 #2 Posted September 24, 2013 Forestry patch is beautiful as usual. Flak badge looks like an early one. Does it have a maker ?
doyler Posted September 24, 2013 #3 Posted September 24, 2013 Nice Congrats. The box finds are the best!!!
Sabrejet Posted September 24, 2013 #5 Posted September 24, 2013 An OD bordered 3rd Army patch and an 8-wheel TD patch too? Nice!

No maker but nice early construction An OD bordered 3rd Army patch and an 8-wheel TD patch too? Nice! Ian I'm guessing that a OD bordered 3rd army patch is fairly uncommon? I'm not up to date on US patches. Thanks guys for the complements!
Sabrejet Posted September 24, 2013 #8 Posted September 24, 2013 You'd be correct in that assumption. Likewise the 8-wheeler, an eagerly sought variant.
Timberwolf Posted September 24, 2013 Author #9 Posted September 24, 2013 Thanks for the info Ian! Too bad it wasn't a 6 wheeled TD patch!
