Does this look like the real deal? Found in a patch basket of WW2 vintage patches. May have been sewn on.

Its a real one.As Brig stated worn by parachute riggers and para maintenance qual individuals and adopted unofficially by some para marines

 

Youwill also find them done in White on blue wool and blue on white twill for the white uniforms.Even see gold on blue worn on dress blues.A lot of these hit the market W\when the Harry Wosk stock surfaced,

I find it interesting that Para Marines used it as "jump qualified" also.
