jfairclo Posted September 13, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 13, 2013 Hey guys, I acquired this Japanese footlocker, and I was wondering if any of you know anything about it. It was captured, presumably, by a man named James Hunt. Hunt painted his name and service number on the box. The box shipped from San Francisco and it is from the 306 Airdrome Squadron. The Box itself has many compartments with various gi personal effects. It even has an insect tent in one compartment. The middle compartment has a lid with many Japanese symbols on it. Does anyone read Japanese. What is the red symbol also? Thanks, Jacob Here are some pics.

NPerry Posted September 15, 2013 Share #4 Posted September 15, 2013 This one looks like it wasn't actually used by us; however I have an German footlocker that was overstenlled by an officer in the 327th. He actually used it as his own footlocker, so where's the line? IMHO NPerry
manayunkman Posted September 15, 2013 Share #5 Posted September 15, 2013 Looks like Cpl. Hart or Hunt used it. What is the stuff in the lid ? Anything else in it ?
jfairclo Posted September 15, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted September 15, 2013 Cpl Harts name is stenciled over, and the contents consist of personal items such as a razor, a mirror, toothbrush, etc. The foot locker itself has a Japanese makers stamp.
