Sabrejet Posted September 11, 2013 #3 Posted September 11, 2013 Three units have "Let the drum beat" listed as their motto. 225th Infantry...1225th Support Bn.....225th QM Bn.
The_Brick Posted September 11, 2013 #5 Posted September 11, 2013 I was not able to find the 2nd crest anywhere, but based on some of the symbols I would say it is either a Support or Aviation crest.
B229 Posted September 11, 2013 #6 Posted September 11, 2013 Three units have "Let the drum beat" listed as their motto. 225th Infantry...1225th Support Bn.....225th QM Bn. They are all the same unit and therefore shared the same DUI. 425th Infantry (MIARNG) was redesignated 225th Infantry on 15 March 1959. 225th Infantry reorganized as 225th QM Bn on 1 September 1992. 225th QM Bn reorganized as 1225th Support Bn on 1 September 1997.
B229 Posted September 11, 2013 #7 Posted September 11, 2013 #2 is 2d Infantry Regiment, California State Guard. See here for info: http://www.militarymuseum.org/2dInfBdeInsig.html
