DeltaRecon226 Posted September 9, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 9, 2013 My Grandfather served with the 8th Army Rangers in Korea, and I'd like to honor his service by piecing together a 100% correct loadout. All he could recall last time we spoke was that an M1 helmet, M1923 cartridge belt, and M1 rifle would be used. He also told me about some sort of haversack. I've got no idea what else he would have carried, so I was wondering if anyone could help me create a complete list. Thanks, DeltaRecon226
Rakkasan187 Posted September 10, 2013 Share #2 Posted September 10, 2013 Welcome to the forum. You may want to try to pick up a copy of the book: US Army Uniforms of the Korean War. This book is by Shelby Stanton. It has some very good information about Army uniforms and equipment worn. I beleive there is some information in there about ranger units as well..
