here's a pair belonged to a B-17 togglier / nose gunner -- he flew 21 missions with the 8th (7th Bomb. Sqdn.) and possibly the 9th in '44 / '45.  one's nicely padded, other not at all --  and it lacks backing (unfinished? or the guy might've thought he might wanted a 'smooth' look?).  both look somewhat tunic removed.

Actually looking closer seems both are removed --  and the '' padded'' one's felt critter chewed....  this crewman liked theater-mades; also had silk 9th AF and stubby wing 8th SSIs.  You know the types.  Thanks for looks & any comments!
