I'll be the first person to admit I've overpaid on some of the rarer USMC stuff on e-bay.

 

However, a much better deal can be had on an original shelter half.

 

For that price I would expect to buy one of the WWI USMC shelter halves or the early khaki version.

 

The pegs aren't really rare and nice shelter halves with original tags fully intact are still available. This one has some repairs and missing buttons.

 

A nice set, just a little too much money for what it is, in my opinion.
