TreasureHunter Posted August 28, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 28, 2013 Got these two patches today for less then a mochawhatever at Starbucks, plus the rocker was found in a gun cabinet I purchased on Sat during garage sales for about twice the same cup of coffee. firefighter Posted August 28, 2013 Share #3 Posted August 28, 2013 WOW! Great find. In 1966, during U.S. strikes into Vietnam, the Indians rescued 16 downed aviators, for which the squadron received the Navy Unit Commendation. A SEVENTH Fleet Commendation followed in 1969 for services provided following the collision at sea between USS Frank E. Evans (DD-754) and HMAS Melbourne (R21). In 1971, the Indians recovered the crew of Apollo 14 returning from the moon.

TreasureHunter Posted August 28, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted August 28, 2013 A fellow picker at the flea market had a USS Constellation, I have a feeling it came from the same place since HS-6 was stationed on Constellation during Vietnam. Would have been nice to have all together since the guy selling them said they belonged to him.
