NickCT Posted August 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 25, 2013 I came across this today and have never seen one before or even knew it existed - pretty interesting! Not much information about this organization online either but it appears that the only way to join was to have been a part of the Ardennes campaign and membership was closed after WWII ended. Old Marine Posted August 25, 2013 Share #2 Posted August 25, 2013 I never saw one either, but it's a very nice piece. Any idea as to who issued it?
Wharfmaster Posted August 25, 2013 Share #3 Posted August 25, 2013 Very unattractive in my opinion. Looks like it was designed by a committee. Should have not used the color yellow. We all know what "being yellow" ( fearful ) is. Also, US decorations should not have a crown. W
NickCT Posted August 25, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted August 25, 2013 I should have taken a picture of another card that was inside it, it mentions that a veteran of the Bulge had designed it and it mentions all of the medal colors and specific parts (crown etc) and the symbolism behind it. I'll post it tomorrow when I'm home.
wolfman Posted August 26, 2013 Share #5 Posted August 26, 2013 Agreed ugly as sin but my father's best friend loved his very much more even than his officially issued medals
