also to clarify new page inserts (changes) for 1976 Marine Corps Uniform Regulations:

the second insert changes are referenced as Marine Corps Order P1020.34C Ch2, 1978, see scan above

- paragraph 2 Action

a. says remove and destroy pages 4-29 through 4-38 .... and replace them with corresponding pages contained in enclosure (1) - so newly inserted pages have same numbering 4-29 through 4-38, but with added "arrow symbol" and "Ch2" at bottom of page, The "arrow symbol" and "Ch2" is "Change notification" for reader, that page was revised and there is significant change, see paragraph 4, of scan 1 above

so both scaned pages numbered at bottom with "4-29 Ch2 and arrow symbol" and "4-30 Ch3 and arrow symbol" are new inserts (revised pages) for 1978 changes, not pages to be destroyed and thus include beret as new authorized item in uniform regulations

b. insert new pages 4-26a and 4-38a.... these are additional pages inserted together with with corresponding pages contained in enclosure (1), so the pages in uniform regulations are then numbered as 4-26, 4-26a, 4-27..... etc.

I hope all is clear now. JAROSLAV
