hhbooker2 Posted April 18, 2008 Share #6 Posted April 18, 2008 Here are two Sergeant Major chevrons (1902-1918), the one with six stripes was for a Regimental Sergeant Major and the one with five was for Battalion and Squadron Sergeant Majors in the United States Army.
