History Man Posted August 8, 2013 Share #2 Posted August 8, 2013 Looks like the M3 is missing the ear pads. I think while they are a nice set USAAF Flak Helmets, the price is on the high side. Philip
ColdWarRules Posted August 8, 2013 Share #3 Posted August 8, 2013 I think the helmets are good, but I think the coverthingy is Korean War or WWII Surplus. -Nick
History Man Posted August 8, 2013 Share #4 Posted August 8, 2013 The M4A2 flak helmet is supposed to have that covering on it, that is how they were issued. Philip

Sabrejet Posted August 8, 2013 Share #7 Posted August 8, 2013 The M5 has been re-painted...should have a matt flock finish...as should the M3. There are some chinstrap issues and missing felt pads too, as has already been mentioned. Works out at around £200 a shot which is not far off what they would cost individually, so a bulk-buy might be cost effective?
mr_lits Posted August 9, 2013 Share #8 Posted August 9, 2013 Ouch, seems a bit pricey. Especially with all the refurbishments... ,,,Classy avatar I might add...

Flying Rooster Posted September 1, 2013 Share #13 Posted September 1, 2013 I have a similar helmet in my collection for nearly 30 years and the ear pads come loose because of the lesser quality of the glue.
