hawkdriver Posted August 7, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 7, 2013 Some days, the collecting gods smile. I picked this watch up, not being a "watch" guy, I took a stab at this one. Visit my eBay store: http://stores.ebay.com/crustyw4scorner/
hawkdriver Posted August 7, 2013 Author Share #2 Posted August 7, 2013 Here is the "Canteen" portion. This was the first attempt at waterproofing the weak link of the watch. Visit my eBay store: http://stores.ebay.com/crustyw4scorner/
hawkdriver Posted August 7, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted August 7, 2013 Now, here is the coup-de-grau. I took the strap off to see what was written on the back and this is what I found. Doesn't get any better than this! Visit my eBay store: http://stores.ebay.com/crustyw4scorner/
1canpara Posted August 7, 2013 Share #4 Posted August 7, 2013 Wow Hawk! I am a watch guy and I can tell you this is a very cool watch!! I have a copy of one, and I love it, but the real thing is awesome! Rick Collector of WWII M-1helmets and WWII Airborne items
hawkdriver Posted August 7, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted August 7, 2013 Thanks. I didn't know it, but this watch came out of a collection that I have been into for some time. It's unfortunate that I didn't find this with the rest of the collection. The guy that got this originally didn't even know what it was and I don't know how I missed it. kriegsmodell Posted August 7, 2013 Share #7 Posted August 7, 2013 Very nice Steve! Then I shot him." -- Sergeant Tony "Fast Eddie" Anderson, RT Kansas, TF1AE, 1971 "My God, where do we find these men?" President George H. W.
