roadrunner Posted July 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 25, 2013 Hello Found this interesting item http://www.ebay.com/itm/US-Army-Warrant-Officer-W6-shoulder-loop-slide-board-/330964755379?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d0f0963b3 ( Sorry, can't upload the picture ) "One pair of prototypical US Army-style shoulder loop slide board for a Warrant Officer W6. Based on anticipated change in legislation to authorize additional warrant grade, a new insignia for W6 was approved by the Chief of Staff in 1970. The insignia was developed but never authorized for wear. The design was a silver-colored metallic insignia with black bars on black cloth. This recently manufactured item brings the aforementioned insignia to life." Michael
hawkdriver Posted July 25, 2013 Share #2 Posted July 25, 2013 Looks like a two quarter washing machine coin slot. Or worse, a strap buckle.
VolunteerArmoury Posted July 25, 2013 Share #3 Posted July 25, 2013 Two factors of this is that the first officer shoulder loops were green rather than black & those didn't come out until late 70s or early 80s. And CW5 wasn't around till 92 or so. I wonder if this is a more recent proposition.
