Are there any reenactors in Arkansas?

 

I keep meeting folks who WERE.

 

Anyone out there currently?

 

Interested in hosting a World War II weekend in Hot Springs, anyone else interested?

There are almost assuredly reenactors there, but finding the units will be the problem.

 

I tried a web search and it didn't turn up a whole lot (that appeared active), but I didn't put a lot of time into it. I did find this mention of a unit: http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?224972-ww-2-reenactors-needed-in-Central-Arkansas

 

I would recommend you try contacting these folks (the Arkansas MVPA Affiliate) and they can probably give you some leads. Many times, reenactors are members of the MVPA and you may find your answer with them: http://www.armvpa.com/

Thanks for pointing out the MVPA gang, I always seem to forget about them.

 

It is a little strange, that the hobby has withered here (or seems to have) given the rather plentiful amounts of gear and classic arms here.

Example; just picked up a decent k98 for under $400.00 and much of that was in trade.

 

Hoping to find a few other folks around here.
