Merci Train

Military Trader magazine posted a story about this on their Facebook page this morning which caused me to do a bit research on it and I found it somewhat interesting. This link provides the story of the train and gives a listing showing the surviving cars by state.

I hope this does not violate any rules, the train has a direct link to US veterans and their service in France in WWI and WWII.

The Nebraska Merci boxcar was used as a shed in a scrap metal yard in Lincoln, not Omaha. The scrap metal yard was across the street from Memorial Stadium to the west, so alot of people saw it but didn't know what it was.
