Ian,

 

Great pictures! I have never seen so many jeeps in one place! Did they ever get a total count?

 

I did not see any as medical jeeps. Were there any with stretchers?

 

I know this took you a LONG time to resize and post these pictures. Thanks so much for taking the time to do them.

Thank you kindly Kat...yeah, it did take a while! I'm not sure what the exact final count was, though I did hear 175 (?) mentioned! As for a medic Jeep, now that you mention it, no, I don't think I did see one...though that's not to say there wasn't one there somewhere!

It's a British Army bridging sign...they denote the weight category of the vehicle so that they can be directed to an appropriate bridge.

my thanks as well, ian----i very much enjoyed seeing all the jeeps, one had a set of canvas doors and side curtains, which i don't think i've seen before. was that a custom job, or simply something very rare?
