A friend is currently restoring a 1940 Dodge VC-3 Truck and since it was acquired from Pennsylvania he would like to put markings from the 28th Div Penna NG on it...

Can anyone supply examples on period pictures that show the style of the markings???

Thanks

JOhan

Here are some photos I have of VC Dodges with markings. Will be on the lookout for ones marked Pa.

Hmm...pretty similar to how the pre-war Virginia NG marked their vehicles.....

Any pictures of that???

My guess is that the USA number was painted on the hood (inside and out???) and on the back of the vehicle...

Unit markings were one row between bottom and top lines, not mentioning division, but rather restricted to Regimental level and company...

You're better off going with the second choice, (PAANG military museum). If you ask for "Charlie" (I think he's still there) that runs the place, he is a wealth of knowledge or least be able to refer you to the right place.
