BARman Posted July 14, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 14, 2013 Gentlemen, I put my hands on a beautiful m-1938 double texture raincoat few months ago. The great thing about this rare version is that it doesn't get stiff and brittle cause it's not made from synthetic resin-coated fabric. BUT only-God-knows-why my closet hinge suddenly and in an unaware way decided to clutch a bit of the poor raincoat and it consequently got a beautiful clean-cut 1 inch rip next to the right pocket. Now I wonder if I should repair it (and how cause it's not resin-coated material I can vulcanize but a double layer of treated cotton) or just leave this mark of eternal infamy as it is. What would u do dear collegues collectors and re-enactors (in fact I was so happy cause i could finally use a not so troublesome raincoat for re-enacting.. ) ?? thanks a lot!
