I picked up this fantastic 20th AAF Ike last weekend at a local auction. I thought I'd share it with the rest of the forum. Its named to Wilford H. Rickard who was attached to the 61st Service Group, 372nd Air Engineer Squadron at the time of his discharge in 1946. Man oh man that's a beauty! Was at an estate auction or just a general auction?

Wow! I've never seen air corps chevrons on such a late uniform. Great bullion on there as well. Thanks for sharing!

I was thinking the same thing, it's interesting. I always like seeing uniforms with the combat star on the victory ribbon, and that bullion is killer. Great find!

Who is the maker? It has some huge pocket flaps. Looks good.

There was a makers label with the name Amaco located in L.A.

The 1940's era Winged Prop chevrons were private purchase and are commonly found on WW2 AAF uniforms.

I've always associated them with early and pre-war uniforms.
