Cool! If I saw this at an estate sale, I would have never guessed what it was. Are you just supposed to put it over your head and hope for the best?

Back when Army Surplus was WW2 and Korea gear my friends and I picked some up at our favoriate surplus guy at the flea market. We used them once when it was raining at scout camp. Pretty cool item then.

None were ever used for real, so who knows. I doubt it would have done much, other than keep droplets off, I would be worried that gas would get trapped instead of dissipating.
