Luger pistol surrendered by GdP Erich Brandenberger to (then) MG Edward H. Brooks, along with the German 19th and 24th Armies, on May 5th, 1945, in Innsbruck, Austria. Currently on display in the collection of the Sullivan Museum and History Center, Norwich University.

I bet in that condition the holster is worth more than the pistol! Maybe I should ask them for occasional "family visitation", so I can take her home to spend time with her relatives at my house. ;)

Thanks, Jack. Part of me wishes in was in my personal collection to shoot on occasion, but the other part of me is happy it is cared for in the right context of the museum.

I would just stare at it, and maybe hold it once in a while!

I can highly recommend the Norwich Miseum to anyone finding themselves in the vicinity of Northfield, VT. Very professionally done!
