FURY

Hi Lee,

Columbia Pictures, as I understand it, will be including the show on their DVD release of Fury.

So if you don't see it on Smithsonian, you'll find it there.

The manager at my local cinema knows my interest in WW2, and brought this round to my place on Monday evening. It's a little large, but I like it all the same. As time allows, I'll move it to the 'war room'!

I just finished working on the half-mannequin in the background, too. Original First Pattern Tanker Jacket, Wilson Helmet and Resistals.

Cheers,

Ben.

Thanks, Rob, good to hear that as nobody I know gets Smithsonian here.

It was so funny watching the credits to 'Fury,' I found myself saying, "Hey, I know who that guy is, who that guy is.." and when your name rolled around I said, "Okay, I really know that guy!"

Saw it for the third(!) time now on Friday with my partner Helen and our local (non-collector) friends and I can certainly say that they were mostly traumatised by the whole thing... but they did all think it was a very good movie.

Here are a few Fury props I have purchased recently.

Appologies for the crappy iphone pics. Will get better ones when it is all "installed" in the man cave!

First up, 76mm packing crate and extra cardboard tube with metal, stamped ends.

Next up, a .50 cal ammo crate. I'm not expert, but I have been informed, that it may be original. It's definitely vintage, looking at the inside at least. Repainted however (I assume) and with reproduction , cast plastic, painted wing nuts.

This jerry can was off one of the tanks. Not sure which (will have to wait for the blu-Ray!) complete with pyro charges (detonated). And on further investigation of a strange rattle, a .50 cal link!!
