The photos below are from an American bomber aviator who was shot down over Italy and then captured. Like many POW diaries, he has written several pages containing poems, names of other POW's, scores from card games, etc. However, he does write a very good and lengthy description of his bomber getting shot down, getting wounded, bailing out, getting captured, getting interrogated by the Gestapo, getting beat up and then getting shipped around to several POW camps. He then keeps daily accounts in his diary the last few weeks of the war up to his liberation from Barth. Also included were four family photos that were sent to him that all have German censor stamps.
