501stGeronimo Posted June 27, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 27, 2013 A few years ago I bought a Collection of WAVES uniform and insignia that consisted of about 20-25 named uniforms, from a really good friend. I looked through all of it and put it in rubbermaids and stored it in my basement. I decided to dig through it this last weekend and pulled out Mrs. Johnson's uniforms and decided to do some research and found out that she was one of the Ninety Nines, they were early female pilots thath was founded in the late 1920's and Amelia Earhart was a early member. I thought this was really interesting so I thought I would share this with the Navy Goo roos!
